Photoshop - Vic

I have drawn an image of the three girls standing similar to the final shot of our first draft. I then took a photo of it and have cut it out on photoshop. I plan to use a variety of background images for testers for the front cover.

Well now i have come to realise there are some downfalls of not doing print last year!!! i now dont really have a clue what to do when it comes to photoshop- after about an hour of experimenting i have nothing to show for it!!! lets hope it gets better as time goes on because if not our CD isnt going to look too spectacular. :/

Unfortunately I had to go home from school today as I felt poorly. So therefore missed a double media class. I will catch up on the work missed.

Here are some pictures from our day of filming sorry a there late!!!! 

 Heres Trinny standing against the gate (that we couldnt get in for ages, we thought that we had to climb over it which would have been fun with the drums, but luckily will slight force it was opened) This was taken just before they did the gate scene with the fast moving images. There were slight issues with the girls thinking that the gate was too cold, but they did overcome it eventually. 

 Here are the girls walking away from us in the rain (poor things) Vic is also in the shot leading the girls to where they are going to be filming their next section. The girls did say throughout the day that they felt as though they were going to fall over because of the sky high heels and the un-even floor. Give them there due those shoes were high- especially Trinny's we were lucky there was no grazed knees. 

  Here is Trinny in one viccy's fur coats!she said this saved her day as it kept her warm. The girls reached for their fur coats everytime they finished a shot! i took this to show One of Trinny's outfits. The stockings and boots with the tight black vest top.

Here is another picture of Trinny's outfit that she wore, minus the fur coat. My favorite piece of the day clothing wise was the chiffon plaid shirt. I think that the flannel style short is perfect and the fact it was shear made it a little sexier and classier. It also made the stockings not look so garish.

Here is some of Trinny's boots that we didnt opt for, we didnt think that flats would have be suitable for the film, i think that i may use them in the album artwork though because i think that they may add a harder more masculine edge to photographs. 

Research and planning for the digi pack/poster- Emily

After our sucsessful video making we are going to try and follow it up with a sucsessful digi pack and poster. The research into these is the most important feature because without it you wont have a good understanding of what digipack/poster your genre of music suits. Our genre of music would have a digi pack which would show the girls with a simmilar type of wash over the picture and a quirky kind of wrighting. We have also decided that the location for the photoshoot for our digipack/poster is going to be of a simmilar location from the film in order to tie in all three elements. We have also done some style modles analysis in order to capture the elements of the alternative rock anccillary products. We need to also do three mock-ups of the digipack. We need to use all our original photos from the photoshoot except from the barcode on it and create our own institution and icon for it. It needs to have 6 panels minimum Front, Track list, Cd, Song lyrics, thanks, Poster ect.

Plan for the adjustments-Jack

We are going to kill to birds with one stone to complete our video. When we have been fully briefed about what is wanted for the album cover and what not we are going to do the photoshoot and the rest of the filming in one day. This just seems more logical in terms of make-up hair and costumes.
We are going to be filming mainly more Trinny  lip singing because we feel (after listening to the feedback) thats what is needed to better our video.
Im excited to do the photoshoot for the album and what not.... i have some strong ideas that just need to be pitched to the group. Evidence of this will be uploaded as soon as possible.

Feedback- Jack

After reading and hearing the feedback about the video i can speak on behalf of the group and say we are truly amazed. I believe that the main reason e have done so well is because as a group we have worked well together and stayed as organised as possible. This I think came from making a few mistakes last year. I feel that by doing film previously has massively benefited the group as we all knew the process and had an idea about timing and so on.  I also think that the girls we had in the video were outstanding and we are hugely greatful for their contribution.


What we think went well- I think that most of the day went well and we couldn't of really asked for much more. I do wish for the girls sake that we could have started later so they weren't so tired. I think the chemistry between the girls was amazing, especially Hannah and Trinny, they had a bond and you could tell that they were loving the attention from the camera. Saying that though daisy came accross brilliantly in the shots of just her. She was probably the more serious and  focussed of the girls but she knew when to have fun. I think thats my favourite part of the whole process, when it came to watching the video it just looked as they all had so much fun. Which is something that i know we all worked hard as a group to do.


What we think might not have gone so well- During the day we felt as though we had a lot more footage than what we actually did which may have made us slighlt complacent to do more shots, Luckily we stayed motivated and got just enough for the draft. Of course it would be ideal to not have to shoot anything else (something that Mr smith  said we dont actually have to do as our creative instincts have done us well so far) but we feel like if it is going to benefit us in the long run it will be worth it. And Trinny has also said that she is more than happy to do more!


Moving on- Now we have received a positive critique about how to better our music video we need to sit down as a group and come to a decision for what to do.  Mr smith has told us he wants more Trinny which we already think would be ideal as she has such chemistry with the song and the camera. So we will hopefully get some more shots of her lip singing the end of the song to add in. We already have a few singular shots of the other 2 hannah and daisy playing there designated instruments to add in which was also another idea presented to us by the teachers.


Overall though at this stage I can speak on behalf of the group we are very happy.
