Before we began filming on Monday night Jack and I had several concerns:
- We couldnt film in the original location due to the lack of light as we had to film around 7pm because Trinity didnt finish work until 6pm.
-Finding a location to re-film in Trinitys house.
-Finding a suitable location which matches our genre for the digi pack.
- Getting to and from the location.
Although we did have these concerns we were able to overcome all of them, therefore the day was very successful. Jack and I had a look around the house to see if we could film in a suitable place. We found and old brick fire place which we believed to perfect. We filmed Trinity singing the entire song so that we can add more 'performance' shots in our music video. We got through everything fairly quickly because we used our time well. Also yet again the girls listened well and got everything first time.

Why we moved filming to Monday night - Vic
Unfortunatly we had to move filming from Sunday morning to Monday night. I was unable to film on Sunday due to a family problem which was a bit disappointing that we couldnt film then but we found a way round it: me and Jack could film on Monday night with the girls. Whilst we filmed we also took a veriety of Photographs of the girls for the digi pack.

Filming Photos - Vic
Finally got the photos of us filming!!
The photos have come out really clear, and really show the day pretty much step by step.
The start of the day...
A key issues that we were concerned about was that the gate wouldn't open so therefore we wouldnt be able to fit our cars in, to unload the props and get the light from the headlight (if needed). However on arrival on the day of filming we found out that with a bit of strength we got the gate open.
Hannah helped do all of the girls make up (including her own). This was a massive help because as it turned out she was very good at artistic make up, which really benefitted for our filming. Seeing as hair and make up is massive element of it.
I helped with the girls hair, as I new what sort of look we were going for. Therefore I brought some hair products to give it a 'messy' look.
This image shows jack filming Trinity close up: lipsyncing. This shot took several times to perfect however Trinity was a brilliant at lipsyncing.
This second image shows jack
(with the help of Ben)directing the girls on what we are aiming for this particular shot. I stood at the back (taking photos) and directing from the back of the girls.
This shot is a shot of the video camera recording hannah playing the drums.
These shots are of jack and myself, which Ben took whilst we were filming the girls. We worked very well together as we had the same ideas in our heads of what we were looking for. The camera work on our first draft looked very effective this was possibly because for most shot we had someone holding the base of the camera to ensure that there wasnt any 'wobbily' shot. We used Emily's camera to film which was better than the school camera which also benefitted when it came to the footage.
Emily finding a good location for one shot, and doing a similar pose to how we wanted the girls to pose; also seeing how wide it was assessing whether we coulc fit all three girls alongside each other in the door (we obviously concluded that we couldnt).
The second shot is of Em filming daisy walking towards the camera. Emily had a good advantage filming these shot mainly because she is fairly small and could therefore assess the way the girls were walking better. Em coached the three girls how we wanted them to walk, and was able to critically assess whether they were doing to right.
Trinity Being a diva...
Trinity and thge girls became cold fairly quickly due to the lack of clothing, therefore jack, emily and myself were constantly fussing keeping the girls warm. Trinity's feet also began to hurt so therefore she had Ben (her boyfriend) on carrying patrol.
This is a shot again from behind the camera of daisy walking towards the camera.
These are the final shots of us packing up and walking back to the cars. This was just after 'thats a wrap shot'. It was lucky that we finished when we did as it began to rain just after we filmed the last shot.

Our day of filming - Vic
Our day of filming on Sunday was a total sucess. We did have some concerns the day before concerning the weather conditions, the weather was pretty good, it was fairly bright so therefore we gott he lighting correct for the footage. A slight downfall was that it was a bit chilly however we had coats on hand for the girls who wernt really wearing much.
A further concern was that the actress's would turn up ok, as Hannah was going out the night before and daisy was unwell. However Hannah was the firt to arrive and ready to help with make up and ready to act; daisy was slightly late but she turn up fully dressed and make up on ready which jsut needed a small amoubt of 'tweeking'. Trin was slightly late (as expected), but got straight down to getting changed and having her hair (By me)and make up done (By hannah). There three girls impressed me by their commitment to the filming, and also their acting skills were pretty impressive. A further suprise was Trins ability to Lip sync, she had a great sense of timing. The overall images for the girls looked fantastic just what we were looking for. We also instructed the girls before filming how we wanted them to act and the characters that we wanted to portray e.g. daisy (Fleur) being girly, Hannah (Perry)being boistrous and have an attitude problem and finally trin (Trinity) being out of control. They took direction well and acted the way that we wanted. This element is what made the footage so effective.
The time keeping on the day went completly to plan, this was due to the fact that we had planned each shot carefully, and emily had also completed a time schedule which gave the day a sort of stuctured element. A further reason why we filmed so quickly is because the three girls were really easily directed, and they took it very seriously.
We thought that we would be disappointed with the end footage because the camera was not High Definition however the footage came out pretty good and all shots were clear: even the extreame close ups.
As a group we were very naive and it didnt even cross our minds about setting up the drums, luckily Trins boyfriend came along and was able to set them up. Trin's boyfriend can also play the drums so he offered to give hannah a 5 minute crash course in playing them, whcih actually reflected in the video. I also gave daisy a breif lesson on how to play the guritar however she didnt really pick up on what I was teaching her.
I took a variety of pictures of the day, including images of us filming , us packing away, and shots of the girls acting. I will upload the images to blog soon.

Possible difficulties for filming - Vic
One difficulty that we have thought of is if it is cloudy on one day of filming, and sunny on another day our film will therefore lack continuity. Therefore our film will not look as effective as we want it to be.
How to overcome this issue
I thought of the idea that if our lighting isnt correct for example its not as bright as we had hoped for then we could change the effect to black and white. This therefore will overcome the major continuity issue.

The day of filming -Emily.
The day: sunday 31st october
Location: Old barn
Start (time): Emily, Jack, Vic 7am Trinny, Hannah, Daisy 8am Other cast 12pm
Finish (time): Emily, Jack, Vic 3pm Trinny, Hannah, Daisy 2pm Other cast 2pm
Times for the day
7 till 8... E.J.V will sort out cameras, tripods, make up, costume, props, mise en scene and final check of story board.
8 till 10... Trinny Hannah and daisy's seperate shots to be done in this two hour slots. Hannah said that she wouldn't mind with helping us with the make up, as she is very good at achieving this look.
10 till 12... shots of the group together. Were taking a picture of the wanted look, so we can refer back to it each time before we film to avoid continuity errors. This will also save time so we don't have to re-do shots when there not shot right.
12 till 2... shots of the girls with the other cast members. we have a clear vision of what we want so we believe that this will be achieveable in 2 hours.
As a group we have said that filming the whole thing in 6 hours is a big ask but we believe if we work as a group and keep focused we will be able to do this and with time to spare to touch up bit which could be done better.
Were hoping that the weather is going to be like a sunny winters day, this way it will be bright but everything could have dew on it giving it a fresh look to it opposing the look of the actors who are looking not so fresh.
